We occasionally see issues where Global Administrator (the web interface) does not load properly, or elements within Global Administrator appear to be missing or blank.  This is typically due to old Java cache which needs to be purged, and we often see this after a network setting change has occurred on Wave.  For example, if you moved to your Wave system to a different IP address.

Fortunately, this is typically easy to resolve.  Follow these steps to purge old Java cache:

First, Log out of Global Administrator, and close the browser window.

Next, from the console of Wave, go to Start / All Programs / Java / click “Configure Java”:

Under the “General” tab, click “Settings”:

In the “Temporary Files Settings” area, click “Delete Files”:

Verify that “Trace and Log Files” and “Cached Applications and Applets” are checked:

(Note: Do NOT check “Installed Applications and Applets” – this MUST be left un-checked)

Click “OK”, then “OK” again at the next window, then “OK” one last time at the main Java window.

Run Internet Explorer and try to login to Global Administrator again.

Note: The Global Administrator may take longer than usual to load for the first time after old Java cache is purged.  This is normal.
