What is a Media Resource Module? Do I need one?

Every Wave IP500 and IP2500 has a number of voice resources built into the base system.  For small deployments and deployments where you aren’t doing much recording, conferencing, monitoring, etc., the number of included voice resources on the base system may be sufficient.  However, for larger deployments or deployments where you are using Wave’s rich features, a Media Resource Module (MRM) is required to provide sufficient voice resources to the system.

Vertical Wave Media Resource Modules allow you to expand the number of resources available to Wave for calls, conferencing, recording, music-on-hold, fax, and more.
